Eliminated paper tickets while improving the fan experience

The RFEF had historically provided tickets in PDF form via an online portal, which posed a myriad of problems. The tickets had to be printed at home and were easy to counterfeit. This caused confusion at entry gates, and scalpers were buying large blocks of tickets and then dramatically raising prices. The RFEF wanted a solution that would deliver greater control over ticket distribution, create a better fan experience, and eliminate paper tickets.

OARO implemented a solution that digitized each ticket as a unique asset tracked by a private blockchain, administered through a user-friendly app. Each ticket included a unique access code immediately prior to the event, which meant zero duplication of tickets. Best of all, the entire solution was integrated with the RFEF’s existing sales channel. They now have oversight of all ticket transfers, no counterfeit tickets, and a fan entry experience that is completely seamless

Verified Digital Identity for eVoting and Citizen Participation

In June 2019, changes to electoral laws in Mexico City came into effect, introducing direct democracy through an online citizen participation platform.OARO provides Identity as a Service to IECM’s Digital Platform for Citizen Participation, verifying the identity and eligibility of each voter using a photo ID scan and a video ‘selfie’. OARO’s technology prevents multiple registrations by the same citizen, and registrations by ineligible voters.

Saint John Airport

An elegant secure-entry solution for airport employees and contractors

Saint John Airport has long been recognized as one of Canada’s most innovative flight hubs. As a growing polestar of Eastern transport, the executive team has focused on putting into place systems that can scale as the airport grows. As it is for all airports, but especially small ones, security is a top priority, but so is maintaining an agile workflow. OARO offered a seamless solution. Leveraging the latest facial recognition hardware, combined with blockchain cybersecurity, Saint John was able to implement a system where authorized employees only had to approach a secure door, and face into a camera in order to gain access.

OARO’s technology recognizes full-motion video, so would-be criminals can’t gain access using high-resolution photographs. Lost or stolen swipe cards are a non-issue. Each user is authenticated in real-time, and a tamper-proof record of their access is stored. The result is an easily scalable, entirely secure system that improves both safety and efficiency.
